The wisdom of 12-year-olds


Overheard from 12-year-olds in school carpool:

"Did you know that flies are actually alien beings, and that they're spying on us?" "Well, that's nothing. Today's April 18, and I saw on YouTube that a large city in Poland that looks just like a video game set is going to be destroyed today by a meteor." "Amazing!"

Conspiracy theories can be amusing and easily dismissed when trafficked by innocent children, but less so when experienced (and supposedly educated) adults give them life.
